Monsters: Needler – These over-sized rodents are hunted for their valuable hides (2 gp each) and the strong toxin in tail quills of adult male specimens (72 gp per vial).

They make their habitats in salt marshes, deep woods, plains, and rocky glens.  Fiercely protective of their nesting areas, they spray urine to mark their territory. Needlers often move in pairs (M/F).  Needlers mostly dine on worm in rotted branches, leaves, and roots. They will eat birds’ eggs, mice, and other small creatures.
