What’s in the Grave?

What’s in the Grave?

The knight pants steadily, loudly on one knee. Sweat pours down his face and beard. He and the northman take turns digging up the grave until they tap on the wooden lid. After a few quick glances, the knight and the northener leap back into the hole, hastily clearing the remaining shovelfuls of black, moist earth before scraping the last handful of dirt over the wooden cover. Only a strange sigil marks the lid of the coffin. The wood is weathered and rotten. The old priest chases them out and climbs down gently, taking their place beside the funerary death box. His companions gather around the hole, staring down into the grave with eyes wide open, hands on their hilts, bowstrings taut.

Here is a simple d66 table that’s free to use to fill in the rest of the story. What’s in the grave? Let the spark table fire your imagination. You’re the GM. Must you think of everything? Not if you use simple, helpful tools like the one here. It’s FREE to use. Enjoy!
